At the High School Show, we don’t believe in fist bumps or back slaps, we believe in congratulating people with high fives! The week we would like to recognize the following three people.

Julia Garrard:  As the Bentonville Lady Tigers took on the Lady Bulldogs of Springdale Tuesday night, Bentonville’s defensive play made a huge difference in the game, bolstered by Julia Garrard.  Garrard had 7 points on the night, along with 18 rebounds and 7 blocked shots, as well as tacking on 5 offensive rebounds.  Her performance helped to disrupt the Lady Bulldogs and give Bentonville a 57-38 win over Springdale.

DuShaun Rice:  The Fort Smith Southside Rebels took on the Rogers Mounties Tuesday night in King Arena and DuShaun Rice was a big reason the Rebels were able to walk away with the win.  Rice lead the rebels on the night with 11 points and two of his shots were buzzer beaters.  The first came at the end of the first half that put the Rebels up 22-17, and the second came at the end of the third quarter putting up Southside 31-22.  Southside beat Rogers 36-34.

Heather ScottRogers High softball player Heather Scott has signed to play with Labette Community Junior College in Parsons, KS next season.  Scott started for the Mounties since here freshman year and will continue to the collegiate level with a former teammate from the Mounties who currently plays for Labette.  The Labette Lady Cardinals went 43-14 last season and made it to the NJCAA National Tournament.
