At Sports Talk the High School Show, we don’t believe in fist pounds, chest bumps, or backslaps we give out high fives.  It’s time to hand out High Fives for this week’s finest high school sports performances.

 

Malik Fields: The Fayetteville Bulldogs basketball player was fouled with 0.5 seconds left in overtime of a tied game against Jacksonville. Fields made both free throws to clinch the Bulldogs win over the Red Devils in the semifinals of the Joe Stanton Wampus Cat Invitational in Conway. Fields led all scorers with 21 points.

 

Farmington Girls Basketball: In the third quarter while leading the Elkins Elks 19-5 the team went on a huge, 21-0 run ot increase their lead to 40-5 over the Elks. Before that run Farmington had held Elkins to just one field goal in the first half.  Farmington ended up winning the game handedly 52-17.  Breanna Jones led all scorers with 17.
