Meet the 7’5″ High School Basketball Player
• • Archives

Mamadou Ndiaye is the world’s tallest high school basketball player.  At 7-foot-5, this high school junior would be the sixth-tallest NBA player ever if he were in the league today.  He is already taller than every current NBA player, and he might be the tallest teenager in the world.  Ndiaye was born in Senegal, and he moved to the United States in September 2010 - other than that, most of his private life has stayed private.

Ndiaye is enrolled at Huntington Beach (Calif.) Brethren Christian High School, and his coaches say that they are being flooded with attention from college coaches.  Even though his game is simple – catch, turn, dunk – Ndiaye’s coaches are sure that he has room to grow.
